Chairman’s Welcome

Dear Friends,

This year’s fair is on Saturday the 4th of July and will be even better. Sponsored again by Henry Adams Estate Agents, we have a great day and evening arranged for the whole village to enjoy.

During the day we have the funfair, with rides subsidised by Quay Building Services, an all‑day bar, a dog show, Punch & Judy shows, Morris dancing and loads of local stallholders selling all kinds of interesting things. Everyone is welcome.

The Horticultural Show in the Parish Hall is sponsored this year by Blendworth Hills Inspired Villages and has new, exciting categories to enter—check them out in the Fair magazine, freely distributed well ahead of the day.

Food is always important and this year, as well as the local volunteer BBQ during the day, we will also serve paella—which was a huge hit last year—and Monday’s pizza van will attend in the evening.

Throughout the day, of course, there is free, live music—and do we have some great bands this year! Forever Queen headline with a brilliant intro by the likes of Marley Blandford, AstroModa, Alice Milburn and other acts, as always kicked off by the Blendworth Brass Band.

So please do come along for a wonderful day for all the family.

The fair is organised and run by village volunteers and all the money raised goes to local causes. We are always stretched in the run‑up to and on the day itself, so all offers of help are gratefully received.

Volunteers needed

Would you like to be one of those people ‘too numerous to mention’ and help out at this year’s fair?

We’re looking for volunteers.

Friday 3rd July, from 4.00pm. Set up bunting, parking cones and other fixtures.

Saturday 4th July, from 7.00am until closing at 11.00pm. Offer your services for a variety of roles throughout the day.

Sunday 5th July, early morning: take down and tidy up.

Under construction

The RCVF committee are in the planning stages of the 2026 village fair. As such, this website is under construction.

Obviously, certain sections will not be populated until they’ve been finalised. For example, the closing date for magazine entries is 10th April. Which means the final version of the Village Fair magazine will not be delivered until mid to end May.

Similarly, the Sponsors, Advertisers, Events and Attractions will be confirmed during the coming months.

Other bits, such as the Stall Enquiry form and an updated multi-purpose Contact form are already in place.

You may notice there are now several sites:

  • rcvf.org.uk will continue to be the main site for 2026.
  • 2025.rcvf.org.uk contains all the content for the 2025 village fair that was held on 5th July 2025
